Joseph Melendrez · Booking new projects

Hi, I'm Joseph, a Founder in Fargo. Apps, websites, brands: I design them, build them with AI as my pair programmer, and actually run the businesses behind them.

(01) · Who I am

I'm a founder who still writes the code. I design the brand, build the product, and ship it to real customers, then keep making it better. Every project here is something I've built end to end.

(03) · What I do

01

Products

I start and run my own software companies. Habit Nova, Handoff Hero and Powder Inventory are live, with real customers, billing and support.

  • SaaS
  • Mobile apps
  • Payments
  • AI features
02

Brands & websites

For founders and local firms I design the identity and build the site, fast, findable and easy for the team to update themselves.

  • Brand identity
  • Web design
  • SEO
  • Content systems
03

AI that earns its keep

I put AI where it saves real time: writing grounded in your own voice, label scanning, coaching. Always with limits, so it never runs up a surprise bill.

(04) · How I build with AI

AI is part of how I work every day. It makes me faster, but the thinking, the taste and the responsibility for what ships stay with me.

  • Faster first versions
  • More budget for design and polish
  • Docs you actually keep
  • Cost limits on any AI you ship
  1. 1

    I own the plan

Every build starts with me: the product decisions, the data model, security and how it should feel. AI doesn't pick the architecture. I do.

  2. 2

    AI as my pair programmer

I work with tools like Claude Code to draft components, write tests, refactor and dig through docs. It handles the repetitive typing so I can spend my time on the parts that need judgment.

  3. 3

    Every project has a memory

Each codebase keeps a living guide of its own rules: how billing works, where the security boundaries are, what the style is. The AI follows it, and you keep it as documentation.

  4. 4

    Nothing ships unreviewed

I read every change, run the build and lint, and test on real devices before anything goes live. AI writes drafts; I sign off.

Full details

Every project gets a fixed quote after a short call. Ranges are a starting guide.

(06) · How I work

Five rules I build by.

  1. 01

    Ship it

A working product in front of real people beats a perfect plan. I launch early and improve in the open.

  2. 02

    Own it

Design, code, billing, support. Knowing every layer is how small teams move faster than big ones.

  3. 03

    Make it fast

Speed is a feature. Pages load quickly, taps respond instantly, and nothing makes you wait for no reason.

  4. 04

    Be found

Clean structure, real metadata and content people search for. A beautiful site nobody finds is a hobby.

  5. 05

    Keep it honest

No dark patterns, no inflated claims. Clear pricing, clear copy, and products that do what they say.

A new product, a brand that needs a home online, or a site that should be pulling its weight. Tell me about it. No pitch deck needed.
